The 81 Series ejector spring is designed for use with Southco's Dzus Quarter-Turn fasteners (with part numbers that begin with "81"). These are used to pop the stud to the fully extended position when not latched, so it's clear to see when the stud is not engaged.

This does notadd additional tension to the latch when locked, and it MUST be used in conjunction with the proper retainer. A wear washer is recommended, but not necessary.
